Netflix Extends Partnership with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Date:

Netflix has announced a multi-year, first-look deal with Archewell Productions, the media company founded by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This extension of their partnership, initially established in 2020, solidifies the couple’s commitment to creating high-quality content for the streaming giant.

The Deal

While the original deal was reportedly worth over $100 million, the new agreement is structured differently, with a greater emphasis on performance-based bonuses tied to individual projects’ success. This shift reflects Netflix’s growing focus on profitability and Archewell’s adaptability in the ever-changing streaming landscape.

Upcoming Projects

Several exciting projects are on the horizon, including:

– *With Love, Meghan: Season 2*, which will debut later this month, featuring the Duchess of Sussex welcoming celebrity chefs, talented artists, and friends for hands-on adventures.

– *With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration*, a special holiday episode set to premiere in December, showcasing Meghan’s festive cooking and decorating skills.

Statement from the Couple

“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” said Meghan Markle. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision.”

Netflix’s Chief Content Officer Comments

“Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere,” said Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer. “The response to their work speaks for itself — ‘Harry & Meghan’ gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series”.
