The Nairobi City County government has announced the temporary closure of City Hall Way for the official opening ceremony of the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally.
The event, scheduled to take place from June 22 to 25, is expected to attract thousands of spectators and top rally drivers from around the world.

The Nairobi City County government has announced that they has set aside KES 100 million for the event’s organisation and logistics and established a special task force to ensure security and safety during the event.

From other sides number of famous Rally drivers championship winners announced their participation including reigning champion Sébastien Ogier, have confirmed their participation in the event.
The WRC Safari Rally is one of the most prestigious events in the World Rally Championship calendar. The event was first held in 1953 and has been a regular feature on the WRC calendar since 1973. This year’s event is expected to be one of the most competitive, with top drivers vying for the championship title.
