Meta has announced that it will launch an artificial intelligence model named meta motivo that can control the movements of a human-like digital agent, with the potential to enhance the Metaverse experience.
The company is pumping tens of billions of dollars into its investments in artificial intelligence, augmented reality and other Metaverse technologies, pushing the forecast of capital expenditures for 2024 to a record level of 37 billion dollars to 40 billion dollars.
Meta also launches several of its AI models for free use by developers, and sees that open source can benefit its business by promoting the creation of better tools for its services.
“We believe that this research may pave the way for fully embodied agents in the Metaverse,”the company said in a statement.
The company stated that meta motivo addresses body control problems common in digital avatars, helping to perform movements in a more realistic, human-like way.
Other AI tools released by Meta included a tool named (video torrent) that adds a hidden watermark to videos making them invisible to the naked eye but traceable.
