The leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan held a joint phone call with US President Donald Trump today, on the sidelines of the tripartite summit held in Cairo on April 7, 2025.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency stated that the three leaders discussed with President Trump ways to ensure an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the need to resume full access to humanitarian aid and the immediate release of all hostages and detainees.

Ambassador Mohamed Al-Shennawy, the official spokesperson, added that the three leaders stressed the importance of creating the necessary conditions for achieving a real political horizon, mobilizing international efforts to end the suffering of the Palestinian people, restoring security and peace for all, and implementing the two-state solution.
The three leaders and President Trump also agreed to maintain close contact, noting that the call also addressed the importance of expediting peace in Ukraine in accordance with international law and the shared need for international security and stability.
