Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said today (Thursday) that Israel’s “long hand” will reach the Houthi leaders in Yemen.
Katz added, in a video posted on his account on the “X” platform: “I warned the leaders of the Houthis (terrorists) that Israel’s long hand will reach them, and anyone who raises his hand against Israel will be cut off”. “We will strike with all force and will not allow Israel to be threatened,”he said.
The Yemeni capital Sana’a, Hodeidah and the port of Ras Isa in western Yemen witnessed a series of Israeli raids, in the early hours of this morning (Thursday), and Houthi-affiliated media reported that the raids on Sana’a targeted two power stations Haziz and Dhahban South and north of the capital, killing 9 people.
“After the approval of the attack plans by the minister of Defense, Air Force warplanes, under the guidance of the intelligence service and the Navy, launched a series of raids targeting military targets of the terrorist Houthi regime in the western coastal sector and deep inside Yemen,” Israeli army spokesman Avichai adrai said in a statement published on the X platform.
The statement continued that the Houthi regime launched “repeated attacks against the state of Israel, including the launch of marches and surface-to-surface missiles towards Israeli territory, most of which were successfully intercepted… “Over the past year, the Houthi regime, guided and financed by Iran and in cooperation with Iraqi militias, has worked to target Israel, destabilize the region and obstruct the freedom of international maritime navigation,” he said.
