Israel launched air strikes and artillery shelling carried out by the Israeli army at dawn on Saturday and continued on Sunday morning.
Six hundred Palestinians were killed, dozens of homes were destroyed and hundreds were injured.
The spokesman for the agency, Mahmoud Basal, said that the victims were women and children, adding that the bombings continued for the fourth day in a row and focussed on various areas in the Strip, including Gaza City, Khan Younis, Deir Al-Balah and Jabaliya.
The spokesman explained that seven young men were killed while trying to return to their homes in the Shajaiya neighbourhood in eastern Gaza, while the targeting of a school housing displaced people in the west of the city killed four others, including a woman and two children.

In Deir al-Balah, in the centre of the Gaza Strip, three separate strikes killed 20 people, one of which hit a humanitarian aid distribution warehouse.

According to official data, the number of food distribution centres targeted since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023 has risen to 68 facilities.
The Civil Defence Service also reported that 13 others were killed in scattered areas south of the Strip, in addition to 19 killed in shelling of towns in northern Gaza.
