To help cope with the disaster of Hurricane Daniel, which hit Libya, the Egyptian authorities announced the arrival of the helicopter carrier "Mistral" to Libya to work as a field hospital to support those affected by the hurricane, amid the assistance provided by Cairo since the beginning of that humanitarian disaster.

 

Eastern Libya is still suffering from the effects of the devastating hurricane Daniel, especially the city of Derna on the Mediterranean coast, which received the bulk of the storm's sweep, as the floods caused by the hurricane destroyed about a quarter of the city and washed away multi-storey buildings with families sleeping inside.

 

In a move described by observers as "historic", the Supreme Court of Justice of Israel, today, is discussing appeals filed by the opposition against the law "limiting reasonableness", that law voted by the Knesset, last July, and significantly limits the court's ability to intervene in government decisions even if it considers them unreasonable and illogical،

 

After the storm "Daniel" swept across the Mediterranean and earlier heavy rains fell on Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece, it reached Libya, where photos taken by residents in the stricken area showed floods, collapsed buildings and entire neighborhoods submerged under water.

 

More than 48 hours after the devastating Moroccan earthquake that left at least 2,122 people dead, Moroccan rescuers have entered a race against time, supported by foreign rescue teams, to find survivors and provide assistance to hundreds of displaced people whose homes were destroyed.
