The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, said that if he cannot end the war in the Donbas, he must be replaced by someone else.

"If I cannot end the war, then someone else must come who is able to end this tragic story between our two countries," Zelensky added.

And the President of Ukraine continued, that he does not hold on to the position, and said: "I said immediately that I do not cling to power, and I do not run after the people."

He stressed that he believes in a peaceful settlement in Donbas.

"I believe in this," Zelensky said. "If it were the other way around, I would not have gone to the presidency of Ukraine. It is very difficult, and here we need the help of the whole world, it is true. But I am not losing this faith."
