Maxar Technologies of America, which specializes in satellite imaging, published images showing damage in a dam facility, after the Tigray People's Liberation Front accused the Ethiopian army of bombing the Tekizi Dam in the north of the country.

In the photograph in question, a close-up of a damaged power substation is shown in the hydroelectric dam between the Amhara and Tigray regions of northern Ethiopia.

Maxar Technologies said the photo was taken on Thursday, December 2nd.

The Tigray Liberation Front (TPLF) had accused the Ethiopian army of bombing the dam days earlier, amid months of fighting between the parties.

In a tweet on his Twitter account on 30 November last, LURD spokesman Jechao Reza said that "Government forces bombed in the early morning of the Tekisi Electro-electric Dam in the north of the country."

"Addis Ababa will do its utmost to destroy anything that benefits the Tigray people. It's becoming very obvious. "
