Russian President Vladimir Putin in the course of his speech stressed the importance of continuing to fight to defend Russian rights and said
"Today civilization is once again facing a turning point. A real war has been unleashed on our country."
With his speech launched new attacks on Ukraine. Where he attacked the West and accused him of planning a "war" against his country.
In a fiery speech on the anniversary of Victory Day, which lasted ten minutes in Red Square in front of the Kremlin walls, Russian President Vladimir Putin attacked today, Tuesday (May 9, 2023), the "Western global elites," and said that Russia is once again facing an existential threat.

Putin said, "The Ukrainian people have become hostages of the coup and the plans of the West, and this is the reason for the current catastrophe in Ukraine."

After Putin delivered his speech, a band played, and a cannon salute was fired. Soldiers marched around the square, followed by tanks and intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

And according to media reports, a parade of military aircraft was canceled over Moscow, while the authorities reduced or canceled military parades in some other cities for security reasons, including those linked to the drones that exploded over the Kremlin dome last week and the lack of soldiers and weapons on the front. And authorities across the country have canceled "Immortal Regiment" processions, during which people carry pictures of their relatives who fought against the Nazis.
