Social media posts in Egypt and in some Arab countries, as published by the Liverpool Club star and "The Pharaoh" elector, Mohamed Salah on his Twitter account.
Salah posted a picture he took years ago during his visit to the Al - Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, following with a tweet expressing his solidarity with the Palestinian cause: "I call on all world leaders, including the Prime Minister of the country that has been home to me for the past four years (England), to do everything in their power to ensure that the violence and the killing of innocent people cease immediately. That's it. "
This photo raised many questions about when it was taken and why Salah was present at the Al-Aqsa Mosque campus.
Salah took this photo on August 6, 2013, after participating with his then Swiss team Basel in a match against host Maccabi Tel Aviv, in the final preliminary round of the UEFA Champions League competition.
Salah basically participated in that game and scored a particularly celebrated goal, as he rowed on the pitch.
The showdown ended in a 3-3 positive tie, with the Basel team qualifying for the next leg of the Champions League, while McCabe farewell to the competition.
