The Egyptian Youth and Young Women Team was able to achieve top positions in the Sword Weapon Game during the World Championships in Cairo, after the young men won bronze for the first time in their history by beating Ukraine 45/37 in a bronze match.

The National Young Women's Team was successful in fourth place after beating the French team in the eight by a score of 45-32, to lose to the Spanish team in the semifinals.

The national youth team has four players, Mohamed Yassin, Ibrahim Ramadan, Mohamed El-Sayed, Amr Abdel Bakri.

In the meantime, the National Young Women's Team has four female players, Saleem Tariq, Aya  Hussain, Noor Hafez and Rodina Jafar.
