Barcelona's new president, Juan Laporta, is close to completing his first contract for the Catalan club, a deal for the English midfielder Liverpool.
It should be noted that Dutch midfielder Georginio Vinaldum settled and decided to move to Barcelona next summer, as his contract with Liverpool English expired.
It is recalled that Vinaldum agreed Sunday to the initial contract submitted by Barcelona, which means that his transfer to the ranks of his compatriot, Ronald Koeman, is only a matter of time.
Vinaldum will thus become the first deal to be made by the new President of Barcelona, Juan La Porta, since he assumed the presidency of the club for the second term, this month.
Vinaldum will move free to Barcelona, where his contract expires next summer, meaning that it will not cost the highly indebted Catalan club's treasury any money.
The move of Vinaldum comes amid a real crisis for English Liverpool, after a dramatic decline in results and a curse of injury to many of the team's players.
