Fabio Baratecci, sports director of the Italian club Juventus, revealed Wednesday the future of Cristiano Ronaldo with the "Old Lady" team.
The Portuguese star was roundly criticized, after his Juventus team came out of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, despite a 3-2 win over Portuguese Porto in the home match, Tuesday.
The "Old Lady" team was excluded according to the principle of extraterrestrial objectives, which caused widespread outrage among Juventus' supporters, seeing Ronaldo as remiss.
Eldon played mainly in the match, and contributed to Juventus scoring the first equaliser, but this pass was Ronaldo's only contribution, during the match, while the audience was willing to play a decisive role.
Ronaldo's performance seemed unconvincing, and supporters told the team that he showed a very limited level, although Porto only completed the game with 10 players.
Baratecci spoke about Ronaldo's future with Juventus, during a statement to Sky Sports reported by S! "There's still time in Ronaldo's contract, and we have time to talk to him."
But the sports director added a sentence with disturbing connotations for the Portuguese star and his lovers when he added a short phrase: "It is not our priority now to renew his contract."
Baratecci commented on the reported recruitment of Messi star Lionel Messi to play next door to Ronaldo: "Fantastic players are always easy to play together, but at this time other considerations must be taken care of," S reported.
Juventus brought in Ronaldo, in 2018, precisely to crown a Champions League championship that they had not held since 1996.
But the 36-year-old Ronaldo, who made five championship appearances with Manchester United and Real Madrid, couldn't lead the "old lady" to that achievement.
