Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the economic interests of Russia and the European Union must be preserved, but "Russia's dignity does not allow it to run behind the European Union and to humiliate it."

Lavrov added, in an interview with several radio stations: "Economic interests must be preserved. Economic companies must decide for themselves what is beneficial for them and what is not profitable. But jogging and groveling, our dignity does not allow it."

Yesterday, Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, commenting on the situation around Alexei Navalny, did not rule out that Russia might stop communicating with the European Union.

At the same time, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, spoke in favor of maintaining open channels of communication with Moscow and expanding cooperation in areas of common interest, despite the sanctions.
