Noting that they "have not taken concrete action to end hostilities." The United States has announced that it will impose restrictions on the granting of visas to Ethiopian and
Algerian officials accused of fuelling the six-month-long conflict in the Ethiopian region of Tigray.
United States Secretary of State Anthony Plinkin said in a statement that these restrictions target "Ethiopian or Algerian government officials, current or former, members of the security forces or other persons -- including regional and irregular Amhara forces and members of the Tigray People's Liberation Front -- responsible for, or complicit in, undermining the solution to the Tigray crisis."
