Academician Gennady Onishchenko, former head of the Consumer Protection Agency, assessed in an interview with RT the extent of the aggressiveness of the mutated novel coronavirus.
Onishchenko said, the talk is not about a new strain of coronavirus, but about a mutation of the emerging coronavirus strain.
He said, "This is not a new strain of the virus, but rather the one with the previous one, but it has mutated. This is not the first time that this virus has mutated. When the virus was nesting in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, the first mutation took place, and it became more contagious, that is, it spread quickly and intensely." Between people".
According to him, the emerging corona virus has mutated, not affecting its aggression, and he said, "So it can currently spread more quickly and with greater intensity, but its aggressiveness will not change, as a result of this mutation. That is, its effect will not change on the infected."
In his speech, Oneshengo indicated the necessity of vaccination against the emerging coronavirus, indicating that if medical workers were able to agree away from politics, the results would be promising in the fight against the emerging coronavirus.
