Despite the Corona pandemic, which had economic consequences in various countries of the world, Egypt succeeded in achieving a new record for the first time in the country's agricultural export history.
Total Egyptian agricultural exports from 1 January 2021 to 31 December of the same year reached 5 million, 640,000 and 144 tons of agricultural products, an increase of 486 thousand and 768 tons, a figure not achieved even before the corona epidemic, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture.
The Egyptian Minister of Agriculture thanked the quarantine staff, chief among them the Chairman, Ahmed Attar, who worked around the clock to facilitate export procedures and remove all obstacles to exporters.
He stressed that the application of international standards and requirements reflected positively on the reputation of Egyptian agricultural exports.
