Providing reading enthusiasts of all ages with a distinctive cultural experience

In search of knowledge and love for the hobby of reading, the ship "logos hope", the largest floating library in the world, docked in the Egyptian city of Port Said overlooking the Suez Canal, so that the volunteers on the ship greeted visitors with a smile dressed in traditional costumes of their country.

"Logos Hope" allows visitors to sail among a selection of about 5 thousand books in various fields such as science, sports, arts, medicine and novels in Arabic and English, the ship is made up of 330 volunteers from more than 60 different nationalities.

"We were very much looking forward to returning because the previous visit was in 2010, so it's already been a long time, and we were told that we received about 62 thousand visitors last time, and the visit lasted only about two weeks, so we expect many to flock, to get to know each other, and cultural exchange and sharing of food, family and music cultures can take place,"said Camila larajibel, a volunteer from Chile.

The captain of the "logos hope", James Perry, said: "logos hope is a very large ship, in fact it is 132 meters long, and we can say that we are the largest floating library in the world, and volunteers come and give their time here on the ship, and we are here in Port said, we receive the public, and you are all warmly invited to come and visit.

The ship is managed by a non-profit organization based in Germany, which aims to spread knowledge and hope in every port it visits, and the ship was chosen on Port Said to be its first destination in the New Year, and will remain there until January 23.

It is noteworthy that the work of these ships has been ongoing since 1970, visited more than 150 countries, and received more than 94 million visitors on board, according to the organization's data.
