French president visits Elarish city in northeast border of Egypt

French President Emmanuel Macron will visit El Arish at east border of Egypt – Gaza strip today, April 8, 2025. This visit is seen as a symbolic gesture to draw attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, which is facing a severe aid blockade by Israel.

During his visit, Macron aims to highlight the importance of allowing humanitarian aid to reach Gaza, where millions of people are struggling to survive due to the blockade. The visit also underscores France’s commitment to addressing the crisis and finding a peaceful resolution.

Macron’s trip to El Arish is also an opportunity for him to meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and discuss ways to resolve the crisis. French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to the region doesn’t include a stop in Israel. Instead, he’s focusing on Egypt, where he’ll meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordan’s King Abdullah II to discuss the situation in Gaza.

Macron’s trip is aimed at promoting a ceasefire and resolving the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He’ll also visit the Egyptian port of El-Arish, a key transit points for international aid intended for Gaza.
