Warner Music Group has announced a partnership with Piaf's rights holders to produce

Edith, a 90-minute feature film set between Paris and New York, from the twenties to the

 sixties of the last century.

Motion Pictures will give a modern look at its history, while the inclusion of archival footage,

theatrical and television performances, personal shots and television interviews will give the

audience a realistic look at important moments in Piaf's life.

The announcement of the project coincides with the sixtieth anniversary of the death of the

author of the song "I regret nothing" ("Non, je ne regrette rien").

While the release date of this work, which will bear the name "edit", has not yet been

determined, sources close to Warner Music in France said that the project is currently "in

the last stages of completion", explaining that it is based on a number of images created for

 internal use.

The scarcity of confirmed details about Edith Piaf's life and childhood opened the door to

weaving novels and legends about her, but among the confirmed information about her

personal life is that she was born on December 19, 1916 in the Bel-Ville neighborhood of

Paris, and her parents named her "Edith Giovanna gascion", after the French nurse "Edith

COBOL" executed by the Germans for helping French soldiers during the first World War.

Piaf was the first French artist to appeal to a global audience, along with Charles Aznavour.

Since her death on the tenth of October 1963, her fame has not diminished.

The song "La Vie Anne Rose" is listed among the top ten French songs, earning the best

royalties globally along with songs by David Guetta and Daft Punk.

In addition, the worldwide success of the film by French director Olivier Dahan "LA mom",

for which Marion Cotillard won the Oscar for Best Actress for her role, strengthened the

reputation that the artist has. Her songs were recorded by artists of different horizons such

as Lady Gaga and Grace Jones, as well as English rock singer Anna Calvi and Frank Sinatra.

In a sign of the interest she continues to arouse one hundred years after her birth,

performances based on her work are taking place in many places around the world, from

Rio de Janeiro to Budapest, passing through London, New York and Paris.

The upcoming film by Edith Piaf will not be the first produced by artificial intelligence, but it

was preceded by dozens of television works that have been produced rapidly in the midst of

the technological boom that the world has experienced since late 2022, by launching digital

platforms that allow chatting with robotic minds with artificial intelligence, which raised

many questions about the protection and valuation of human heritage in the fields of

history, philosophy and laws, to try to catch up with the new technology and put it within

 the circle of human assimilation.

In this context, researchers simplify the question of the ethical boundaries of artificial

intelligence, and the principle of creating possible uses for robots that are used in it.
