via Air and land Egypt sent 476 Trucks carrying Food and Health Supplies
CAIRO – July 23, 2025 –
In a significant effort to alleviate the escalating humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Egypt yesterday, July 23rd, deployed military aircraft to deliver vital aid to Palestinians. Concurrently, Egyptian efforts also succeeded in pushing through 166 aid trucks loaded with essential food and health supplies into the besieged enclave.
An Egyptian security source, as quoted by Egypt News TV channel, confirmed the successful entry of these humanitarian relief trucks overnight from Wednesday into the early morning hours of Thursday.
The aid, which included flour, various food items, and critical medical supplies, entered via the Zikim and Kerem Shalom/Karem Abu Salem border crossings.
This robust delivery comes as international concerns mount over widespread “mass starvation” in Gaza, exacerbated by the recent collapse of ceasefire talks. UNICEF has tragically reported that four children died of starvation in Gaza within a 48-hour period this week, highlighting the urgent need for consistent and large-scale aid.
Egypt has been actively intensifying its efforts with all international parties to facilitate the entry of more aid into the Gaza Strip, as the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Thursday, July 24th, vehemently rejected accusations of contributing to the Gaza blockade, describing them as “malicious propaganda.” The ministry underscored that the Rafah crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side, asserting that Israeli forces control the Palestinian side and are blocking access.
Egyptian officials have repeatedly emphasized their commitment to providing Gazans with necessary aid and have condemned practices that obstruct its delivery. The successful entry of 166 trucks, along with the reported use of military planes for direct aid delivery, demonstrates Egypt’s proactive approach in addressing the critical shortages faced by the Palestinian population in Gaza. The nation continues to advocate for an immediate ceasefire and sustained humanitarian access to the strip.
