The Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, announced on Sunday evening the launch of a ground military operation as part of the operation
“Gideon vehicles” in the Gaza Strip.

Zamir’s announcement came during a field tour in the northern Gaza Strip conducted by a number of senior military commanders, including the commander of the southern region, Major General Yanev Assour, and the commander of the 162nd Division, Brigadier General Shagiev Dhan, where the operations were reviewed and the field situation was evaluated.
The Chief of Staff stressed that the Israeli army will continue military operations until the stated objectives are achieved, adding:
“No return to before October 7. We have two central goals: the return of prisoners and the elimination of Hamas.”
