” Wal-Mart ” provokes Israelis with the image of a squirrel

The American retail chain “Wal-Mart” provoked a wave of anger in Israel, following reports that it offered T-shirts with the image of Yahya Sinwar, the political leader of Hamas, for sale via its website.

The Israeli broadcaster “Kan” reported that the move greatly provoked Israeli users, prompting the organization “stop anti-Semitism” to demand the immediate removal of the products.

The authority noted that internet users expressed their deep dissatisfaction on Tuesday, accusing the chain of promoting what they called the “glorification of terrorism and violence”.

In turn, some pointed out that the T-shirts may be produced by third parties whose products are displayed on the “Walmart” website and not directly made by the company.

For its part, the organization “stop anti-Semitism” expressed its strong condemnation of the sale of these products, asking: “Is Walmart aware that it displays clothing glorifying terrorism and violence against Jews?””

The organization called it” outrageous”, calling on the chain to take urgent action to remove these T-shirts from its platform immediately.

 On October 16, 2024, Sinwar was killed during clashes with the Israeli army in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

Sinwar, who played a key role in the “Al-Aqsa flood”, is considered the mastermind of the existential crisis that Israel faced on the seventh of October 2023. Although Hamas has not yet issued a denial or confirmation of the news, several names have been mentioned as possible successors, including:
