Pakistan has categorically rejected accusations linking it to the April 22 terrorist attack in India, dismissing the claims as politically motivated and baseless.
Asim Iftikhar Ahmad the Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations stated that Islamabad rejects all the accusations of the country’s involvement in the April 22 terrorist attack in India.
“We categorically reject India’s attempts to blame Pakistan for the April 22 terrorist attack, which was condemned not only by Pakistan but also by all members of the Security Council”Iftikhar said
Pakistan’s Official Response
Speaking after closed-door consultations at the United Nations Security Council, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, stated:
“India’s statements are nothing more than baseless and unsubstantiated accusations intended to serve its political interests and strategic objectives.”
Ahmad emphasized that Pakistan condemns terrorism in all forms and reiterated that the attack was denounced by all members of the Security Council.
Rising Tensions Between India and Pakistan
The accusations come amid escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors. India has linked Pakistan to the attack, while Islamabad has categorically denied any involvement.
