MOSCOW, April 28 — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that while Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine continues, Moscow remains open to negotiations with Kiev without preconditions. This statement came in response to recent remarks by US President Donald Trump, who called for Russia to halt strikes on Ukrainian facilities.
Peskov emphasized Russia’s willingness to engage in dialogue, stating, “The president has repeatedly confirmed Russia’s readiness to begin a negotiation process with Ukraine without any conditions in order to achieve a peaceful resolution to the conflict.” He also acknowledged ongoing efforts by the United States to steer the situation toward a peaceful resolution.
In recent developments, the Russian Armed Forces launched a large-scale strike targeting Ukraine’s aviation, rocket and space industries, machine-building and armored vehicle sectors, as well as facilities producing rocket fuel and gunpowder. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the operation successfully achieved its objectives, hitting all designated targets.
