A satellite image showed houses before the fires in Altadena, California, and another image showed houses after the fires, the first was taken on January 6 this year, and the second on the 10th of the same month, according to “Maksar”.
The numerous fires raging in the vicinity of Los Angeles since Tuesday have forced more than 150 thousand people to leave their homes.
Other photos also showed houses in the Pacific Palisades area before the Palisades fire, taken on October 20, 2024, and other photos showed houses after the fire on January 9 this year.
The company “Maxar Technologies” published a photo taken on January 8, 2025 of a neighborhood during the Eaton fire in Altadena, California, and a second photo on January 6, 2025 before the fire, according to “Agence France-Presse”.

Officials said that over the past twenty-four hours, fires have come on another thousand acres, devouring more houses.
Other photos also showed homes and businesses along the Pacific Coast Highway, near Tuna Canyon Park in Malibu, California, on October 20, 2024 before the fire, and other photos of them on January 8, 2025 during the Palisades fire.
Officials of the fire department said that the fires damaged or destroyed 12 thousand buildings. It is estimated that at least 13 are missing.

Trump criticizes
In the latest reaction, US President-elect Donald Trump criticized officials in the state of California, at a time when firefighters continue to fight raging fires.
Trump wrote on his social network “truth Social”: “the fires are still burning in Los Angeles. And incompetent politicians have no idea how to put it out”.
He added: “It is one of the worst disasters in the history of our country . They are not simply powerless to put out fires. What happened to them”, Stating that “death is everywhere”.

The spread of fires
Despite the efforts of thousands of firefighters to contain the flames, the Pacific Palisades fire expanded on Saturday to northwest Los Angeles, threatening the densely populated San Fernando Valley, as well as the Getty Museum and its priceless works of art.
